Q: What makes the Deep Creek area a unique vacation destination?
A: If you’re looking for summer fun like boating, water skiing, swimming or fishing, you will find it all in the waters of Deep Creek Lake. If you want to view some amazing fall foliage, Garrett County’s Autumn Glory Festival is the place to be. If you can’t wait for winter, we’ve got some of the country’s best snow skiing, snowboarding and ice skating at Wisp Mountain. You can also book fly fishing and rafting tours in the spring, summer and fall. Deep Creek is truly a year-round destination.

Q: What’s your favorite area restaurant?
A: Ace’s is my favorite spot for dinner. They serve the best filet in the county. It is to die for!

Q: If you could only recommend one must-see local attraction to your guests, what would it be?
A: Swallow Falls State Park, without a doubt. We’re blessed to be the home of the largest waterfall in the state of Maryland.

Q: What is your background in the hospitality industry?
A: I’ve been in the hotel/vacation rental industry for more than 10 years. The majority of this time has been spent in the Deep Creek area.

Q: How long have you been the GM at Inn at Deep Creek?
A: I joined Inn at Deep Creek in April of 2016.

Q: What is your favorite room at Inn at Deep Creek and why?
A: The entire staff really likes Room 109. It’s a King Executive room nestled in the back of the building with views of the lake and stream. It’s also just steps to the pool in the summer months.

Q: What makes Inn at Deep Creek different from surrounding hotels?
A: Our mission is to help our guests create enjoyable, personalized vacation experiences. Our friendly local staff members really know about the surrounding activities and attractions. Our lobby and common areas are welcoming and are decorated to reflect the Deep Creek Lake area’s wonderful attributes.
